Are you ready for radio?

If you possess expert-caliber knowledge in a particular field, consider commiting to a guest interview on a local station.  When an event comes to town or news surfaces within your area of expertise, consider volunteering your time to local show hosts/stations.  As with any endeavor wherein you’re courting the general public, be aware of your responsibility to disseminate accurate information listeners can trust.  If unsure, decline and obtain professional direction first.  Always walk through the interview with the station or host…and, be yourself!  Make certain to clarify when providing opinion verses fact.  Who knows…you may catch the “radio bug”.  You never know what doors may open…until you try.
